As the Examination is arriving, students have started feeling anxious, which is completely normal. Efforts of the students are evaluated and acknowledged through the examination. While some students are excited to show their hardwork, others are struggling to manage and overcome the stress of Examination. If the stress becomes a little overwhelming, it can have negative effects on a student’s performance as well as overall well-being. The DOs:
Break up your topics/syllabus into smaller parts, which will make it easier to remember.
Study when it is comfortable, do not force yourself into other's schedule, as every individual lives in a different environment.
Keep some time for recreation. Go for a walk, listen to music, paint or do something else you enjoy.
A healthy diet can help you cope with stress and improve your concentration and focus.
If you are struggling to cope with exam stress, talk to your teachers,friends and family.
The Don'ts:
Students must not spend alot of time on phones.
Don't be so dependent on others. Remember self study is the key!
While it is normal to feel anxious or stressed before and during an exam, it is important to find ways to manage this stress so it does not interfere with your performance. By preparing in advance, getting organized, taking breaks, eating well and exercising, and reaching out for support, you can overcome exam stress and perform to the best of your ability.
