“IS, REALLY, HUMAN BEING A SOCIAL ANIMAL?”
After having a serious look into the recent news of sexual assault  that have occurred in the area of Phillaur and Ludhiana,I am compelled to think that, Is human being really remained a social animal or he has ceased to be so?
The criminals who were involved in these crimes against the young girls have imposed a serious threat to this fact that humans are known for their social qualities. But what social qualities, these criminals have displayed while committing these crimes is beyond the understanding and mental frequency of a common man who is fighting for the subsistence of his family and wants to have a safe and secure life for him and his children.
It sounds a little harsh to think that if a person is not social, then the society should view them as “less than humans or just animals”.
Aristotle has rightly said that
“Man is by nature a social animal; an individual who is unsocial naturally and not accidentally is either beneath our notice or more than human. Society is something that precedes the individual. Anyone who either cannot lead the common life or is so self-sufficient as not to need to, and therefore does not partake of society, is either a beast or a god. ”
Granted, he included the “more than human” but that’s likely in reference to the savants or prodigies that lock themselves away to work tirelessly on whatever it is that they do. But what’s about those “less than human”.
I mean… a beast or a god?
I think that people should be regarded as criminals or “less than human” if they are cruel towards their fellow human beings and hurt and abuse those who have done nothing wrong. These people shouldn’t just get charged, they should be put in jail and treated in the same way that they have tried to treat those innocent people. Cruelty is criminal and should be a case for the courts and these people should not be on the streets. It is felt strongly in a lot of people’s hearts. Imagine if it was your sister or daughter that was being abused. How would you feel? Wouldn’t you feel angry? Wouldn’t you feel hurt? Wouldn’t you want justice? Because I’m sure that I WOULD.
So if you do not agree and you don’t bother about these issues then ask yourself one question, the only one question:-
“IS,REALLY, HUMAN BEING A SOCIAL ANIMAL?”
